the Netherlands


Yeah, a new card, and another one from my own lovely country.

I've not so much to tell about this, you only see the lovely lighthouses from the Netherlans.

The lighthouses on the first line (from left to the right):
1. Lightouse Schiermonnikoog, build in 1853, hight 44 meters, illumination 2.5 milj.cd
2. Lighthouse Ameland, build in 1880, hight 58 meters, illumination 4.4 milj.cd
3. Lighthouse Terschelling, build in 1593, hight 55 meters, illumination 3.5 milj.cd
4. Lighthouse Vlieland, build in 1876, hight 54 meters, illumination 0.1 milj.cd
5. Lighthouse Texel, build in 1863, hight 53 meters, illumination 2.85 milj.cd
6. Lighthouse Den Helder, build in 1877, hight 57 meters, illumination 5.2 milj.cd
7. Lighthouse Egmond aan Zee, build in 1834, hight 37 meters, illumination 0.045 milj.cd
8. Lighthouse Ijmuiden, build in 1978, hight 53 meters, illumination 3.5 milj.cd

13. Lighthouse Ouddorp, build in 1947, hight 56 meters, illumination 5.2 milj.cd

The lighthouses #3 (1593)  and #15 (1470) used to be a fire instead of a lamp.


The stamp the writer use is the normally stamp they officially use here in the Netherlands for al the mail to a weight of 20 gram. The normal letters and cards. You also see on the stamp is the Queen of the Netherlands "Beatrix van Oranje."
