Niigata - Japan


As you see I've received already A card before I started this blog. And it came from Niigata in Japan. I've received it on the 28th of January 2012.

Niigata (新潟市, Niigata-shi) is the capital of Niigata prefecture. It's also the biggest city of the prefecture. Also Niigata is the biggest city of the Japanese Sea. On the 1st of April 2007 Niigata was the decree gedesigneerde city. Since the Jomon Period live there people in Niigata. According to Nihonshoki was there in 647 build a fort. The area was really importent after in the 16th centry was build an port. Niigata prospered as a port and was one of the five ports were opened to international trade the friendship trade and trade treaty between Japan and the United States of America in 1858. 

Niigata lays on the island Honshu and lays in the area of Chubu. Niigata is the total ares of 726.10 square kilometers, and have 812.340 residents.

As you see above I've received a beautiful card from the writer. You see on the card the Lake Hyoko where te writer sad there are in the winter you see there a lots of Swans they came there to overwinter the winter. I love the picture very much, you didn't see the sun, but he is there and the night is falling. The colour is so beautiful, and ofcourse I love Swans.

Also she stamped the postcard very beautiful with stramps from Hello Kitty and a beautiful Bee. Thanks to the writer, for this wonderfull card. :)
